FULL PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:

Part of our modular hinge plate mounting system for inset cabinet doors. This snap-on expander attaches directly to the back of the 1/4" Inset Hinge Plate Mounting Block to build the total assembly thickness up to 3/8" (9.5mm) — the right size when your cabinet side or bulkhead is set back 3/8" behind the face frame.

The full stack for 3/8": 1/4" Base Mounting Block + 3/8" Expander.

This is the lightest expansion option in our modular system — purpose-built for cabinets with shallow face frame setback or thin-side construction where you just need a little more depth to land the hinge plate cleanly. No gluing up custom shims. No measuring and stacking scrap. Snap the expander on, mount the assembly, install your Blum or Titus long arm hinge plate to the front face.

Required base part:

This expander does not work on its own. You'll need the 1/4" Inset Hinge Plate Mounting Block as the base — the hinge plate mounts to that block, and this expander builds up the back side to match your face frame setback.

The base block is sold separately, or pick up our Complete Modular Hinge Mount Kit to get the base plus all three expander sizes (3/8", 3/4", and 1-1/4") in one package.

Stack reference for the full system:

• 1/4" total → Base block only
• 3/8" total → Base + this 3/8" Expander
• 3/4" total → Base + 3/4" Expander
• 1-1/4" total → Base + 3/4" Expander + 1-1/4" Expander

Installation:

Snap this expander onto the back of the 1/4" base mounting block. Position the assembled block on the cabinet side or bulkhead directly behind the face frame opening. Secure with wood screws through the assembly into the cabinet side. Mount your Blum or Titus long arm hinge plate to the front face of the base block using the standard hinge plate screws.
